Richard Gill
Head of Research

Richard has nearly two decades of experience analysing small-cap companies, starting in the City with Master Investor Limited and its predecessor firms from 2007 to 2015. He has passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams, considered the industry’s gold standard. At Align Research, which he co-founded, Richard covered sectors ranging from alternative energy to Bitcoin mining and cannabis farming. He is qualified to advise retail clients under the Retail Distribution Review. Richard was a judge at the Small Cap Awards from 2013 to 2023 and has won multiple awards himself for his writing.

Dr. Michael Green
Head of Natural Resources

Dr. Michael Green began his career in the 1980s as a resources analyst with stockbrokers Buckmaster & Moore, followed by Greenwell Montagu Securities, part of HSBC. He later analysed growth companies and became Head of Research at Everett Financial. Since 2006, Dr. Green has been an independent analyst specialising in resource stocks. He has worked with quoted and pre-IPO companies to raise investor awareness and served as a Non-Executive Director of a gold miner in Costa Rica. Dr. Green holds a BSc and PhD in Mining Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
