RentGuarantor (AIM: RGG), the provider of rent guarantee services, has announced a positive activities update covering the three months and nine months to 30th September 2026. This comes shortly after the firm revealed record levels of trading in September, boosted by student demand.
Revenue for the nine months to September reached £13 million, up from £1.72 million in the same period in 2025, with £4.5 million generated in September alone. Nine month adjusted EBITDA reached £5.85 million and adjusted net profit reached £5.93 million, compared with respective losses of £0.19 million and £0.48 million in the prior-year period (excluding costs associated with admission to AIM).
Applications during the nine month period increased by 208% to 21,747, while contracts increased by 395% to 11,608. Helping revenue growth was a 53% increase in average contract value. The claims ratio (landlords claiming for missed rent) remained in line with expectations and the company’s risk policy.
In Q3, RentGuarantor received most of the funds relating to warrants issued as part of its November 2025 fundraise, with the last tranche of funds arriving on 12th October 2026. Total funds received were £3.56 million, which, alongside the continued strong commercial performance, left cash at c.£12 million at the end of September, with no debt.

The business
RentGuarantor provides a rent guarantee service to tenants wishing to rent property in the UK (excluding Northern Ireland) from the private rental sector. It is an online service, with applications managed on a secure and bespoke digital platform designed and built by the company. The goal is to make the process as simple as possible, with applications only taking a few minutes and RentGuarantor seeking to complete the application on the same day.
RentGuarantor supplies its service to the whole of the market: students, both from the UK and overseas; employed people; and people on benefits, including Universal Credit. This ensures that everyone has the opportunity to live in their dream rental home.
Revenues are earned from rental guarantor contracts and application fees, with costs arising when a claim is made on a contract. RentGuarantor is obliged to pay the landlord on any rent arrears, but to mitigate the impact of this it takes out insurance.
With over 5.4 million households privately renting in the UK, the company expects that demand for its services will expand, underpinned by recent regulatory changes under the Renters' Rights Act. In August last year, RentGuarantor moved the trading of its shares to the AIM market from the Aquis Stock Exchange.

Activities Update
Back to today’s update, and RentGuarantor summarised further operational progress made so far this year.
The firm increased its engagement with the Living Sector during the quarter, signing a twelve-month agreement with Way of Life and a two-year agreement with Essential Living, two highly respected industry participants. RentGuarantor will act as a professional guarantor provider for both partners, helping tenants access high-quality BTR accommodation whilst reducing risk for operators.
As previously announced, the firm signed a two-year partnership agreement with university King’s College London, under which it will serve as a professional guarantor partner, providing the university’s student body, including approximately 20,000 overseas students, with the ability to secure a guarantor.
Elsewhere, in September 2026, RentGuarantor opened a new office in Bristol city centre. The office is home to the company’s product team and tech lab, its dedicated research and development function focused on AI, machine learning and advanced technologies. The tech lab is developing solutions that enhance scalability and operational efficiency, helping to ensure the company is well positioned to meet growing customer demand and support growth.
Comment
While most of today’s numbers just reiterate the previously announced performance, they do remind the market of the excellent progress RentGuarantor has made this year. Shares in the company recently hit an all-time high of c.113p after the positive September update. Having slipped to the current 101.5p, the firm is now capitalised at £163.1 million.
In the previous trading update the firm said that revenue, EBITDA and net profit for FY2026 are now expected to be materially above market expectations (at the time). Management’s new expectations for FY2026 are for revenues to be in excess of £19 million and net profit in excess of £9 million. So with £13 million revenue and £5.93 million (adjusted) net profit done up to Q3 there's still some way to go. Investors will be keen to see if trading remains strong in the final quarter so that these upgraded figures are met.
