Fairchild Gold - targeting new discoveries in prolific Nevada ground

Despite gold’s slide from a peak of c.$5,600 an ounce at the start of the year, to c.$4,150 as we write, many market commentators are still bullish about the prospects for the yellow metal. Updating its forecasts in mid-September was Goldman Sachs Research, which is looking for gold to rise to $4,650 per ounce by the end of 2026. The bank kept its end-2027 gold price forecast at $5,400 per ounce despite the latest US interest rate increase.

The metal is expected to rise in price amid strong demand from central banks seeking to diversify their foreign currency reserves and as markets pare back expectations of US rate hikes in 2026. Goldman highlights that investors are using gold derivatives to hedge portfolios against large-scale changes in government policies, which could be making gold more volatile.

One gold company on our watchlist is Fairchild Gold Corp. (TSXV: FAIR) (FSE: Y4Y) (OTCQB: FCHDF), a Nevada-focused mineral exploration and development company which is developing a trinity of complementary assets: Nevada Titan, Golden Arrow and Carlin Queen.

Fairchild’s projects are located in prolific mining camps such as the Goodsprings Mining District, the Walker Lane Shear Zone and the Carlin Trend. These areas are estimated to have produced over 150 million ounces of gold and a wealth of other metals. The company’s strategy is to build a significant Nevada-focused exploration and development platform combining established resources with opportunities for major new discoveries.

Nevada Titan

Fairchild's flagship property is located in the historic Goodsprings Mining District, Nevada, an area known for historical high-grade copper, gold and platinum group element mining. More recently, Nevada Titan has also been highlighted for its near-surface antimony and cobalt potential. Mineralisation was first discovered in 1856 and Mormon settlers commenced production at the Potosi Lead-Zinc Mine in 1857. Mining in the Goodsprings Mining District continued until 1957.

Production from the Goodsprings Mining District is reported to be c.160,000 tonnes of zinc-lead-copper, 2.1 million ounces of silver, 90,000 ounces of gold, and small amounts of Platinum Group Elements (PGE), cobalt, vanadium, mercury, stibnite, nickel, molybdenum, manganese, iridium and uranium.

More recent exploration at Nevada Titan includes high resolution airborne magnetic, electromagnetic and radiometric survey over the northern half of the district, and an IP survey in the Whale Mine area. In August this year, an independent geophysical interpretation materially advanced the company's drill-targeting strategy and identified five priority exploration targets for further refinement prior to drill testing.

Golden Arrow

The Golden Arrow Gold-Silver Property is located within the Golden Arrow Mining District in Nye County, Nevada. The property is located 35 miles east of Tonopah, and is accessed via paved roads and graded gravel roads. It provides Fairchild with an established open-pit-oriented gold-silver resource within Nevada's prolific Walker Lane mineral belt.

The project purchase was finalised in August this year, with Golden Arrow consisting of 17 patented and 494 unpatented mineral claims. On 29th July, Fairchild closed a non-brokered private placement of C$2,241,500, with the proceeds used to complete the closing of the acquisition, and for general working capital purposes.

Gold was first discovered in the Golden Arrow Mining District in 1905, and by 1917, deposits were being explored at the Golden Arrow, Gold Bar, and Desert shafts. Gold production continued until the 1940s from several shafts up to 500ft deep. The amount of gold produced over this period is unknown.

The project hosts a current NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate, as indicated in a technical report dated 23rd April 2026, at the drilling-defined Gold Coin and Hidden Hill Au-Ag deposits, of c.295,000 ounces of gold and 4.36 million ounces of silver in the measured and indicated categories, with additional inferred resources. More than 61,000 metres of historical drilling has been completed on the project since the early 1980s, with the majority of that work concentrated in the two known deposit centres.

These resource estimates were based on a gold price of US$3,000/oz. At a gold price of US$3,900/oz, the amount of measured and indicated gold ounces increases to 308,000 ounces Au and silver to 4.6 million ounces. What’s more, the resource covers only a small part of a c.10,000-acre historical district.

Earlier this month, Fairchild engaged mineral exploration technology company TerraEye to undertake a property-wide satellite-based spectral mapping and structural interpretation programme at Golden Arrow. This has been designed to provide a broad, objective first-pass assessment of surface mineralogical and alteration signatures across the entire Golden Arrow property, with particular emphasis on underexplored areas outside the known Gold Coin and Hidden Hill deposits and around the past-producing mine workings on the property. TerraEye will integrate satellite spectral analysis, image enhancement, structural lineament interpretation and AI-assisted pattern recognition to identify areas believed to warrant geological review and field follow-up.

Carlin Queen

The Carlin Queen Gold-Silver Property is located within the Ivanhoe Mining District in western Elko County, Nevada. The property is within a two-hour drive of two full-service mining towns, Elko and Winnemucca, and is accessed via paved roads and graded gravel roads. It is situated adjacent to the northern boundary of the Hollister Mine complex of Hecla Mining Company, which is currently drilling and evaluating Hollister for re-opening following a period of care-and-maintenance. The project provides additional epithermal gold-silver exploration exposure near the intersection of the Carlin and Midas-Hollister mineral trends.

Geophysical surveys consisting of ground magnetics, gravity and CSAMT were conducted in 2004 and 2012, with sporadic geochemical sampling identifying anomalous gold and silver mineralisation. The surface sampled returned gold values to 13 ppb, silver to 0.87 ppm, arsenic to 39.5 ppm and mercury to 327 ppm, similar levels to the subtle features found above high-grade vein systems in the Ivanhoe and Midas districts.

Around 13 drill holes have been completed at Carlin Queen. The most recent programme of the historic drilling identified significant intercepts of silver mineralisation. Despite positive results from a very limited drill programme, no follow-up drilling has been completed at the property since 2007.
