MedPal AI - zero to £8.6m in nine months after a record July
Our client MedPal AI (AIM: MPAL), the digital health and pharmacy group, has announced a positive trading update for July 2026. This was the first month in which the company had all three of its current revenue streams in operation (NHS prescriptions, private prescriptions and SaaS software subscriptions) following the recent acquisition of eMARx.
NHS Prescriptions
For July a new record was set for NHS Prescriptions, with 47,223 items dispensed, up 11.8% on the previous record of 42,250 items set this May. We also note that the item numbers are up by 64% compared to the 28,789 items dispensed in the firm’s first full month of operations in November 2025. MedPal’s NHS prescription operations are now trading at an annualised turnover run rate “in excess of” £5.5 million, up from the “in excess of” £5 million at the start of June.
Private Prescriptions
Private Prescriptions have also seen good growth, with over £180,000 earned in July from only three weeks of the previously announced focussed marketing campaign. New Health, the dedicated GLP-1 weight management clinic operating at new.co.uk, generated private prescription revenue annualised at over £2.2 million.
MedPal has commenced a paid digital marketing campaign for new.co.uk across Meta and Google, supporting the build-out of its GLP-1 weight management proposition. The campaign forms part of the previously announced £1.3 million marketing investment in the New Health platform and is designed to drive patient acquisition and brand awareness in the UK private weight management market.
SaaS
Finally, Software as a Service (SaaS) revenue was c. £0.843 million on an annualised basis, operating at an 82% gross margin. This revenue came from the acquired eMARx business, which generates established recurring monthly software subscription revenue from care homes and pharmacies. We note that the figures were in line with previously announced numbers, with eMARx management accounts (to 31st May 2026) showing annualised revenue of c.£843,000.
Group recurring revenues
Overall, the MedPal group annualised recurring revenue run rate stands at £8.6 million based on the July figures. Notably, all of these revenues are predictable, quality, recurring streams of income, and have been built from a standing start nine months ago. NHS prescription revenues arise from repeat monthly prescriptions under long-term patient nominations, private prescription revenues arise from monthly repeat GLP-1 treatment plans and SaaS revenues arise from recurring monthly software subscriptions.

Further initiatives
To drive further growth, MedPal plans to cross-sell its NHS prescription service to New Health private patients, inviting them to nominate the MedPal pharmacy for their everyday GP prescriptions. The company is also planning to upsell its wider services, including at-home blood testing, the MedPal Health OS app and Juno, its agentic AI health companion, across the entire client base. MedPal’s directors expect this to accelerate revenue growth even further, with each customer supporting multiple recurring revenue streams. CEO Jason Drummond commented, “…We are just getting started."
